Breanna Kaup MA, LMHP, LPC
Breanna has a special interest in women's wellness including pregnancy/postpartum adjustment and mood disorders, self-esteem, anxiety/stress, life transitions, other general mood disorders, and family changes. Having completed multiple educational hours in women's mental health she combines her warmth and compassion with evidence based techniques so that you feel supported as she guides you toward improved emotional health. She believes that when we encounter personal obstacles, though difficult, we can view these obstacles with purpose. Life challenges often create an opportunity for personal growth, healthier selves, and better relationships. These things take time and therapy provides an intentional time and place to process what you are experiencing. Breanna loves being a therapist and has been practicing since 2011. Much of this time had been spent with a local non-profit where she helped individuals and families achieve healthy life changes. While doing this early in her career she discovered her interest in perinatal mental health and since then has assisted medical practices with implementation of screenings specific to postpartum depression and anxiety, been a speaker for local moms groups, provided education on perinatal mood disorders in the community, and has had extensive training specific to the treatment of postpartum depression and anxiety. Breanna studied Psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her MA in Counseling from Doane College. She is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) and a Certified Professional Counselor (CPC). She is a member of Postpartum Support International and is working toward her Certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Telehealth appointments are available to Nebraska residents.
