About

Perinatal Mental Health Care is a necessity, not a privilege. I'm committed to supporting those affected with and affected by Perinatal Mood and Anxiety issues by ensuring that they receive whole-person centered, quality and specialized Mental Health Care. It is only when a person feels truly heard in a safe place that they can begin to share their authentic selves. It is here that people can over-come their self-limiting doubts and allow themselves to be vulnerable. Life can be complicated and it can be very easy to feel hopeless. I help a variety of people find their way through the darkest parts of their lives and into the light that shines in all of us. It takes a tremendous amount of strength to reach out for help and I will honor that strength. You can expect these results when you work with me as I help you find your way again. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive training and am certified through Postpartum Support International and am the only PMH-C in North Florida. I also received additional trainings through the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Maternal Mental Health Now and Bebo Mia, of which has enabled me to center my practice around whole-person approaches with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Infertility, Pregnancy Loss and Grief, Physical and Emotional Birth Trauma that may include medical neglect/abuse, the “Magical Motherhood Myth” that often results in unrealistic and self-loathing expectations of self, and life stressors related to feelings of being trapped in the “roles” of woman, mother and caregiver. Adjusting to the birth of a baby can be challenging. The sooner you contact help, the sooner you will start to feel better. I also have a niche for adolescents and adult women that struggle with maladaptive perfectionism and people-pleasing behaviors, anxiety with OCD thoughts and behaviors, negative self-perception and loss of self in toxic and cycling relationships. Although I have spent the majority of my career providing services to women and adolescent females, I also work closely with the partners of my clients to ensure successful outcomes. Some of their own personal struggles may be depression, anxiety, excessive worry and perfectionism, feelings of emptiness and hopelessness.
