Robin R Minick
Robin is thrilled to have an office for private practice in downtown Waynesville in the Norris Law Building at 177 North Main Street. She is trained in and practices a highly dependable and efficient treatment model named Internal Family Systems that shows patients how to connect with existing self-knowledge that can lead them to positive and lasting change. She is interested in and incorporates subtle mindful movement and other practical interventions in her clinical practice. Spiritual considerations often arise during therapy and Robin is happy to explore those with her patients. Most of all, Robin hopes to create a non-judgmental place where people can be heard and where they can make sense of themselves and what they are experiencing. Robin enjoys working with individuals of all ages. Robin is licensed in North Carolina as a professional counselor and supervisor for provisionally-licensed counselors (LPCS). She is nationally certified as a counselor (NCC) and is certified as a clinical military counselor (CCMC) and a grief counselor (GC-C). Recently Robin met the education requirements for training and is certified in Perinatal Mood Disorders, including post-partum depression (PMH-C).
